Thebans

We have just received some superbly painted Thebans from Artmaster Studio and Gary Faulkner of the March Attack painting service. The figures look fantastic, and we thought we would share a bit of this Ancient Greek eye candy with you!

Thebans

Below is a fantastic looking Theban phalanx from the brush of Gary Faulkner. He has done a wonderful job highlighting the crisp detail on the armor. Hoplites often painted their armor, and he has reflected this with some striking color combinations on this unit.

Thebans

The figures are all mounted on Victrix bases, utilizing the 40 x 40, 20 x 20 and 20 x 40 sizes. These are ideal for most major Ancient rulesets such as Clash of Empires, War and Conquest, Hail Caesar and WAB. We are also working on some brand-new thin movement trays, and some round bases for skirmish gaming. (More on those in the autumn.)

Thebans

All the figures are using the brand-new Theban shield transfers, recently produced by Steve.

The Thebans are our third set of Ancient Greek hoplites, joining the Athenians and Spartans, and soon to be followed by the Greek Mercenary Hoplites. Check out the multi-box 3-, 4-, 5-, 7- and 10-box Greek deals. They are great value for money, and enable you to field large Hoplite armies to refight the constant wars of the Ancient Greeks.
