JSadler of Eureka Miniatures writes:

It's time to keep out the winter chill (at least for our friends in the Northern Hemisphere) with AB Figures' new 15mm 1805-11 Russians in greatcoats. As any student of military history knows, snow does not suppress the Russian will to wage war - as Napoleon found out during the winter of 1806-07. Now you can recreate the terrible Battle of Eylau and put an end to Napoleon's imperial ambitions on the bloody snow fields of East Prussia.

Russians in greatcoats

Tony Barton, the creative genius behind AB Figures, continues to expand his definitive range of 15/18mm Napoleonic miniatures. Eureka Miniatures are pleased to announce the release of his new 1805-11 Russians, all wearing greatcoats, and designed to supplement the existing Napoleonic Russian range of figures for the Austerlitz (1805) and Eylau / Friedland (1807) campaigns. Collectors can now at last recruit their Russian battalions for these great confrontations suitably 'rugged-up' for the inclement weather they were invariably asked to fight in.

Musketeers, Grenadiers (with their spectacular tall shako plumes), Fusiliers, and Jägers are all now available wearing greatcoats, in both marching and skirmishing poses - together with similarly attired officers, standard bearers and drummers. You can of course try mixing a few of these new greatcoat wearing figures with the existing range of 1805-11 Russians in their standard uniforms for even greater variety. Customers looking for Russian flags should contact Fighting 15s in the U.K., who are the exclusive distributor of the AB Flag range - specifically designed to compliment Tony Barton's figures.

As with all the AB Figures range, Tony's miniatures are full of character, correctly proportioned in authentic natural looking poses, and are available in multiple variants to give your units a pleasing look when the figures are mixed and based together in large units. They are a slightly over sized '15mm' figure (hence the reference to 18mm) and a little more expensive than many other makes of 15mm Napoleonic miniature (reflecting the superior quality of the sculpting and design), but we think they are worth it. If you have not tried AB Figures 15mm Napoleonics before and want to know what all the fuss is about, perhaps we can tempt you with a modest special offer...

Marshal Ney

From this new release to the end of January, all orders for AB Figures will receive a free mounted figure of the celebrated French Marshal Ney (not previously available). This offer applies to any army - not just the new 1805-11 Russians in greatcoats. (If AB Figures American Civil War range is more your thing, we will add an appropriate ACW officer/general figure to your order.)

Here are the catalogue details for the new miniatures:
