Alan Perry of Perry Miniatures writes:

We are pleased to be able to show you the first shots of our hard-plastic American Civil War Zouaves. The box will contain 42 Zouaves (including command) for £18.00 GBP. They are represented in full Zouave kit, with the full Zouave breeches (the ones in chasseur trousers will be coming out in metal). The figures are all advancing rapidly, with arms that allow you to depict them all at 'right shoulder shift' or at the more intimidating 'charge'. Also, for all the Zouaves, both unadorned fezzes and fezzes with turbans (for those units who occasionally used them in the field) are included.

As I say these are straight out the mould, and as such some bits appear a little shiny. Don't worry, this is just the release agent, and won't appear on the final examples. Renedra have again surpassed themselves in the quality of their tooling, as you can see.

Zouave command

These are designed for ACW, but I'm sure you can think of a few other uses.....

Zouaves 'right shoulder shift'

These will be available late February.

Zouaves command sprue

Very shortly we'll have this month's releases up.

We also have important news on the U.S. front. Our old friend Ernie Baker of Architects of War fame is now the official U.S. distributor of our plastic line. So if you want your local shop to carry the plastics, tell them to contact Ernie.

Cheers!
