New Optional Rule for Master & Commander

Anachronistic sarcasm notwithstanding, this "news" item wasn't even a blip on my radar. I didn't notice it, so I wasn't offended, and once I saw it, my reaction was EXACTLY the same as aecurtis'. (Good one, btw, ae!)
That said, what I hope we all take from this is that what's important to some is irrelevant to others, and one can have a chuckle over something being overblown without someone to whom it matters taking offense.
If someone tomorrow posted a "headline" that West End games' "Star Wars Miniatures Battles" was going back into print with full support, I'd be over the moon (metaphorically speaking), but I would also be prepared to read a lot of jokes about it, and I would try to laugh along when I could.
And when I couldn't I would take quiet comfort in knowing I was right…
OMG, KIDDING!!!
But not really…

Add more realism to the sailing in Master & Commander using the "Beating" rule.

We are trying to improve our games. With the optional rules, you can have more accurate simulation without more complexity in the rules.

Any suggestions are welcome.
