Covert Walrus – I wasn't arguing one way or the other. I just thought 28mm Man's response was heavy handed. Thats all.

Black Scorpion's 'sculpt a critter' competition!

(End date: May 5th)

Alien

I'm always wanting to add to the Alien range but never get around to it! It's actually one of my favourite ranges, even though it's very small.

The next thing they need is definitely some little Critter aliens! You know the type, the little annoying things that scuttle around in their hundreds and are easy to kill. They don't carry weapons and generally attack with claws or teeth!

So what better way than a FOD competition!

Well, competition in a sense... I'm looking for 4-5 Critters. There will be no strict 1st. 2nd etc... The winners will be the ones I choose to release in the pack.

So the idea is simple. Sculpt a little Critter to go with our Alien range. Let your imagination go wild. The only real guideline is that they should be small. This is difficult as I don't want to restrict too much.. Think around the 15mm mark. Maybe your Critter has a long tail or horn which is fine. Again this is flexible, maybe the Critter is flat and long or skinny and tall. Just as long as the overall look is of a small critter-like alien.

For each Critter we use, we will pay you £60.00 GBP. You will also receive a pack of the Critters with all the winning entries in.

Who can enter? Anyone.

Can I enter more than once? Yes, as many times as you like - that doesn't mean we'll buy them all, though!

Do they have to 'look like' the current aliens? Nope.

Aliens

We encourage entrants to show their work and WIP on the Forum of Doom. There's no strict 'winner' so I will give advice and answer any questions as we go. After all, what we're all after is a great pack of Critters!

Materials: Greenstuff is preferred. Brownstuff, ProCreate and Milliput are also fine. FIMO, Sculpy, or any other oven-bake clays can not be used, I'm afraid. The figure should have a wire armature to withstand the moulding process.

The design must be your work and not use anyone else's miniatures, I.P., or copyrighted material.

If we buy the figure, we then own it. All rights both creative and physical belong to us. By entering, you agree to this. We will sell the Critters in a pack in our 'Alien' range.

We reserve the right to make changes to your figure as we see fit.

Payment: U.K. will be via cheque or PayPal. Overseas by PayPal only.

Tag: The figure will end up with a tag on, but we will add this on.

Aliens

How to enter: Email your entry with a few good pictures to blackscorpionminiatures@googlemail.com. We will reply to say we've received your entry. If we don't, please let us know in case the email didn't reach us!

Try to have one picture next to a ruler.

Be sure to include your name and address.

Don't send us the figure unless we ask you to do so.

Closing date: May 5th
