Forge World: Epic Stocks Running Down

Back to Hobby News

Top Gun Ace writes:

Too bad, since I would have liked to have ordered some Tau tanks and IFV's.

Without the more popular ones being available, there is no need to order the others.

I hope they will change their mind, and produce more.

Would also like to see some of the 6mm Eldar vehicles re-released.

Oh well, their shortage is good for other companies selling grav armor.

The Real Chris reports:

Forge World have responded to enquiries over the recent removal from their webstore of certain models for the Epic 6mm range.

The email I received was:

The Epic items that have been removed from our website are either currently out of stock or we only have a couple of packs left.

We are reviewing the situation that we have to decide if we remaster these products for new moulds or not.

We have not stated that we are discontinuing Epic.

Thanks,

Simon Kirkham

Other enquiries over the phone were met with the following information:

  • The whole Epic range is currently under review.
  • Moulds are being kept
  • Anything that is out of stock is not currently being restocked.
  • At the end of the reviews (due at the end of the year), the decision will be made to either a) drop the entire range, or b) bring back certain models, if so some moulds may be retooled.
  • Aeronautica and all of its associated models will remain.

Tau Infantry, Warhound Titans, Basilisks, Chimera transports, Grey Knight terminators, Trojan transports and several other models have been removed so far for sale.
