Plastic French Hussars 1792-1815

Hussar box by Peter Dennis

Peter Dennis painted the excellent cover for the box.

You can now pre-order this set. They will be first appearing at the Perry Miniatures stand at Salute on the 24th April, and on general release just after.

Command frame - back and front

The figures in the box cover the hussar regiments in the French army from the Revolutionary War to the end of the Empire. They can be represented in their stunning full-dress uniforms or their more functional campaign dress.

Hussar troopers frame

Included in the box are enough heads to kit the whole unit out in either mirlitons, colpacks, three different types of bell-top shakos (one of which is covered) or cylindrical shakos. The torsos are separate from the legs, to allow you to choose between the full dress breaches or campaign overalls. The pelisses and carbines are also separate.

At the moment, we have the the command sprue and the troopers sprue; the troopers' horses are on their way. We'll show more, as we get them, closer to the release date.

French hussars, side 2

Included in the box is an extensive painting guide on a double-sided A3 sheet, containing over 100 examples of uniforms.

The arms are attached to the torsos, as I didn't want too many parts to the figures. Just by twisting the torso on the legs, you can create a varied look.

The horses are a new, lighter breed in keeping with light cavalry. I had a bash at painting a couple up, as you can see here... well, they are my favourite troop type from my favourite period.

Painted and unpainted hussars

To pre-order, just send the order in as normal, and we'll get them off to you ASAP after Salute. You can, of course, pick them up at Salute - we will have a large stock there.

Don't forget: If you're in Nottingham, you can pick up our plastic range from my wife's shop 'Inspired', just off the market square in the FH mall.

Box contains: 14 mounted figures, unit bases, painting guide and flags

Price: £15.00 GBP
Code: FN 140

Napoleonic metal releases will be following shortly!
