SOTCW (Society of Twentieth Century Wargamers) magazine - The Journal issue 62 is now hitting doorsteps across the world.
Issue 62 has as its theme Hitler's Neutral Ally - The Spanish volunteer "Blue Division" - 250th Infantry Division. We have a detailed wartime history and TO&E of the division, which served on the Eastern Front from October 1941-October 1943, though some Spanish volunteers stayed on until the fall of Berlin! We provide a guide to uniforms and equipment to create your own "Blue Division" troops on the tabletop. Phil Gray gives details on the Blue Squadrons that flew with the Luftwaffe, and finally, Richard Clarke (TooFatLardies) and Steven Thomas (balagan.org.uk) provide us with some excellent scenarios.
The rest of this issue features - The last part of Chris Stoesen's early Negev Campaign, a fine article on "The Football War" between El Salvador and Honduras in 1969 with a scenario for Check Your 6!; David Manley provides a set of rules for fast-attack craft; John Moher (author of Modern Spearhead) provides a detailed TO&E for the Hermann Goring Division in Tunisia, Stuart Emmett of C-P Models has sent us a guide to painting 20mm figures, and we wrap things up with a couple of scenarios - Mons 1914 and Poland 1939.
There are, of course, all the usual review columns and letters, too.
I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to this issue.
