Morning Chaps,

You're absolutely right about the helmet-mounted first aid kits being specific to the 502nd (Market Garden) and the 17th (Operation Varsity).

Based on this feedback and others we've received, we've already produced alternate head sets without the field dressings for those wanting to represent the 506th, 82nd Airborne, or other units where they weren't commonly worn, all available below : link

Mohawk Variant – Advancing Trooper

Historical Context

The 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions spearheaded airborne operations across Europe. In Normandy, they dropped behind German lines ahead of the D-Day landings to capture bridges and roadways. They later saw action during Operation Market Garden and the defense of Bastogne.

Equipped with lightweight gear, M1 carbines, BARs, and bazookas, U.S. Airborne units fought as mobile strike forces—often cut off and outnumbered.

Mohawk Variants

Select packs include mohawk-head options inspired by troops of the 506th PIR, 101st Airborne. These were worn during the Normandy drops for intimidation and esprit de corps. Mohawk heads are included in both infantry and command poses.
