Among the rich and diverse universe of Rick Priestley's Beyond the Gates of Antares – the Ghar Outcast Rebel forces are often one of the most overlooked. Their forces tend to be built around a core of freed slaves – outcasts – relatively well equipped when compared to their bitter enemies (the loyal forces of the Ghar Empire), they make use of an eclectic array of weaponry (whatever they can scavenge).
Don't let their small stature and often rabble-like appearance fool you – many are battle-hardened troops, competently led, and unshakably determined – proving more-than-a-match for much larger and seemingly better equipped foes.
This week sees the Rebels receive considerable reinforcements in the form of the Rebel Commander in Battle Armor and Rebel Attack Crawler!
Ghar Outcast Rebel Commander in Battle Armor
At the very head of the Rebel forces stands the new Outcast Rebel commander. Outfitted in battle armor, equipped with the awesomely destructive Scourer Cannon and deadly Claw, his battle armor is adorned with all manner of trophies of war to show his battle-prowess.

The Outcast Rebels have been driven deep into the depths of Antarean space by the forces of the Ghar Empire, being forced to fight for their very survival at every turn. Cut off from the workshops and armories of Gharon Prime, rebel leaders are obliged to make the best of the equipment they have, what they can capture, and what they can repair and adapt.
The Outcast Rebel Commander in Battle Armor comes in the form of a 28mm scale multi-part, plastic-and-metal model.
Just as the rebels are forced to adapt their weapons and other armaments, so they must also change their tactical methods in the face of necessity.
So it is that Ghar Rebel Commanders often take to the field in the battle armor of an ordinary Ghar warrior, fighting alongside their troops, leading from the front accompanied by the best equipped and most loyal of their forces.
Ghar are perfectly evolved to pilot the battlesuits with which their fighting forces are equipped, for without their armor, they are weedy creatures that dislike bright light and cool air. Within their battle armor, they become mighty fighting machines, protected by layers of metallic armor, bonded with magnetic shields and powered by the boundless energy of a boiling plasma reactor.

Ghar Outcast Rebel Attack Crawler
Providing intense fire support, the Ghar Outcast Rebels utilize their Attack Crawler to the utmost efficiency.

The rebels are tough and determined, but so far at least, they stand vastly outnumbered and woefully under-equipped. The release of the Attack Crawler might just provide the extra firepower that they need…
The Attack Crawler takes the form of a multi-part, 28mm scale resin-and-metal model – with two crew figures, armed with two mag light support, two mag cannon, or two quad mag repeater.
The Rebel Attack Crawler makes use of Ghar Command Crawler chassis captured from Ghar Empire forces. This multi-legged vehicle is powered by a volatile plasma reactor, the common power source used in other Ghar vehicles and battle armor suits.
The Crawler carries multiple layers of metallic armor as well as magnetic shielding, giving it considerable protection from even the most powerful weapons of Antarean space. The machine's weapons have been scavenged from the defeated hordes of humanity. These typically comprise two weapon systems, often Mag Light Supports, Mag Cannons, or Quad Mag Repeaters. These weapons have proven surprisingly effective. Some Ghar crew even claim to have grown used to the sickening stench of humanity that adheres to them still.
