I'm a recent convert to plastic. Many figures are actually better than metals. I would dread to think of the expense of fielding Dariuss' levy at Arbela in metal but this is not a problem in plastic.

Russian militia, painted by Thomas Willers

Hät Industrie releases Napoleonic Russian Milita. This double-sized box contains 100 heavily bearded but only nominally armed hirsute militiamen from 10 cities of Russia including Moscow, St. Petersburg and the famed city of Nizegorodsk. With its huge population, Russia was able to call up numerous irregular troops to fight off the invasion of Mother Russia. MSRP about $13 USD.

The 2nd release is a double-sized boxed set of 100 figures of the 1808-1812 French Infantry, which has never been made in this scale in plastic. This set is unique in that it includes fusiliers, as well as voltigeurs, grenadiers and a command group. MSRP about $13 USD.
