Early New Kingdom Egyptian Command
The New Kingdom period is slated as the period between the 16th and 11th centuries BC – the most prosperous period of ancient Egyptian history.
The New Kingdom period saw a lot of border conflict, and wars fought over territory disputes – Egypt wanted to create a neutral zone between itself and the Levant, and elsewhere they sought to expand their territories southward into Nubia and the Near East – Egyptian armies of the time clashed with the Hittites for control of what is modern-day Syria.
