CSS General Quitman

A 3Dmodel file depicting the Confederate gunboat CSS Quitman.

She began life as a light civilian river steamer, and was taken into Confederate service in 1861 for patrol, dispatch and transport work on the Mississippi. Her light construction and modest armament limited her usefulness once Union river operations intensified. Pressed by advancing Federal forces in 1862, her crew abandoned and burned her to prevent capture.

The model is scaled to 1:600 and prints well at 1:1200 on a resin printer.
