Nigel Billington of 18th Century Press writes:

18th Century Press is very pleased to announce the re-printing of the Greenwood & Ball series of uniform guides for the Seven Years War. Booklet One covers Prussia, and Booklet Two covers Austria.

Uniform Guides

These were originally released in the 1970s, and have become rare. We have re-printed them in their original Quarto format, but have updated and added to the information contained in them. The Prussian booklet, for example, now contains details on how Frederick himself rated the units after the war, details of Grenadier battalion conversion, lists of Inhabers, and much more. The Austrian booklet now has a far more detailed section on flags, as well as uniform information for the War of the Austrian Succession. The number of colour pages has been increased as well.

Uniform Guide

These uniform guides contain in one booklet all the information you will need to assemble and paint Prussian and Austrian armies of the period, and cover all arms - infantry, cavalry, artillery and light troops.

Uniform Guide

We hope that these prove to be a useful addition to your library of uniform guides and, depending on their success, we would hope to add further booklets to the range. Provisionally we have penciled in Booklet Three to cover the Russians, and Booklet Four, the Saxons.
