Mmm could be useful if it has a pile of stuff in 1 volume.

Trouble is Stuart Reid has advanced some curious 'ideas' in the past, for example 60th Royal Americans in blue waistcoats based on a misunderstanding of background detail the portrait of Sir William Johnson in Derby Art gallery. Cannot see anyone who has Chartrand's Louis XV's army, his Colonial America series and Reid's own King George's army getting much new from this. His view of highlanders in campaign dress varies somewhat from other interpretations (e.g Todish & McCullough).

Would also definitely be useful if you are starting out and have nothing else. That said I am a sucker for a uniform book so will probably get one anyway ;-)
