1:56 Scale Russian WWII Early War Trucks for 28mm Miniature Wargaming
The GAZ (Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod, translated as Gorky Automobile Plant) AAA was a workhorse of the Russian Army from 1932 until the end of the war.
The GAZ AAA was used in many different ways, and modified to add a mobile radio, anti-aircraft gun, and even to carry a short artillery gun.
Following the successful Winter War Campaign (for 28mm Finnish and Russian wargaming miniatures and vehicles) last October, we decided to follow up with more options for the very popular GAZ AAA trucks. The designer of the truck, Andy Cummings, rendered a 3D sculpt of the refueling truck, and I thought it would be a good idea to fund the production of the truck on Kickstarter. Backers of the Winter War Campaign were asked what they thought, and there was an immediate positive response.
The first truck variant which has been funded from this Kickstarter is for the GAZZ AAA BZ38 Refueling Truck. Please see the website for more details.
This Kickstarter is for additional vehicles to add to the Winter War range at Baker Company. Items from the previous Kickstarter are now becoming available on our website, where you can now pre-order some of the range.
Although miniatures are still being sculpted and sent out to backers for the Winter War Kickstarter, backers were happy to proceed early with this one as it is extending the same range.
