New Perry Metals & Plastic Update

I think they would go very nicely with Chain of Command from Too Fat Lardies. The rules, a couple of boxes of troops and a vehicle or two and a few boards of sand, rocky outcrops, some palm trees and native housing. It would be a relatively simple project and Wargames Soldiers and Strategy had a very interesting painting article for the 8th Army in their latest issue. It comes together almost suspiciously well.

Perry Miniatures of Perry Miniatures writes:

Here are two more codes for the late 15th Century Italian range, although possibly more applicable to Venetian armies. These are metal and 28mm.

EA 31 - Italian mercenary archers

EA 32 - Italian heavy infantry

Here, too, is a look at the first test of the plastic command frame for the 28mm Desert Rats, which includes an officer and a radio operator. The rest of the platoon command can be made up from the infantry frame (i.e.. 2-inch mortar, Boys anti-tank rifle, sergeant, etc.). Renedra are working hard tooling these at the moment, and we are hoping the box will be ready for Salute… but it's not certain! Stay tuned!
