I first should say 'sorry' to you all, as this post has nothing to do with the hobby.
As some of you will already know, I have been winding things down with my model and terrain work - and since March, I have been working as a historical tour guide up here on Hadrian's Wall.
Sadly since September my mother, who has dementia and who lives in a care home, has been very unwell and close to the edge on several occasions.
She is a true hard fighter and looks to have come through the worst, although she is now bed-bound.
So as to be able to spend more quality time closer to her each week and keep the home and doctors on their toes, I have decided to move back down south at the end of October.
This means giving up my tour guide work and, at least for now, all my model work.
The reason for making this post is to ask you all for some help.
- I am looking for employment in the Reading/London area, be that historical/museum related,or anything so as to get me started.
- I am looking for accommodation, either for long term or short term, so as to get me settled in the area. I do not mind house sharing, and I am almost house trained... It may be you have a spare room for a few months, so as to allow me to look for work whilst in the actual area.
- I am selling the Touching History name and domain name, if anyone is interested. Please just email me. I may let you have the rights to all my pictures on my site as part of any deal.
- There will be a few items for sale on my site over the next few weeks.
