NATIONAL GAMES WEEK SALE
National Games Week began on Sunday. The goal is to bring games to the attention of a larger community of people and share our wonderful hobby. Buy a game for a family member or a friend who might not otherwise have the experience of playing. National Games Week coincides with the Thanksgiving Holiday in the U.S.A. If you're visiting relatives, why not bring along a game to play?
Columbia Games is offering a special 20% discount on all our games to all of our valued customers. The sale starts now and will run all through next week (until November 29th). The discount is applied automatically.
And for something completely different and fun to do:
Visit our website and test your knowledge of games history in our upcoming trivia quiz. This will be a fun and brief quiz. Entrants will be registered in a draw and 1 lucky person will win a block game of their choice.
ROMMEL IN THE DESERT
Rommel is being printed now. Shipping will begin in 8-10 days.
Previews of the map and block labels have now been posted.
GETTYSBURG EXPERIMENTAL RULES
Now that thousands of games of Gettysburg: Badges of Courage have been played, and we have a great deal of feedback, we agree that some 1.0 rules can be written clearer, and some minor tweaks could be made to better reflect history. We have posted these on our website as EXPERIMENTAL RULES. We encourage players to try them and email us your comments.
GETTYSBURG CYBERBOARD GAMESET
A gameset of Gettysburg: Badges of Courage has been created by Ernie Berg and posted for free download.
GETTYSBURG VARIANT
Have you ever wondered how the outcome of the Battle of Gattysburg might have differed had Thomas Stonewall Jackson been alive and leading a Corps. Explore the possibilities with a variant created by Bob Graesser.

2005 TRIAL BALLOON
Since 2005 is coming right up and it marks the 200 year anniversary of two notable battles from the Napoleonic Era, we're exploring the possibilities of developing games on the battles of Austerlitz and the naval battle of Trafalgar. We have a good start on our Austerlitz design but have not yet come upon the perfect system for a naval game system for wooden blocks. Please write and show support if you're:
- Very interested in preordering/ordering these games.
- Would like to contribute to the design of a naval game system for the Age of Fighting Sail.
GAMEPLAN REMINDER
Please note that after 500 preorders, the gameplan discount is reduced to 10%. Preorders are still accepted at the 10% discount until shipping.

REMINDERS
BUNDLES ARE BACK
By popular demand we're bringing back wargame bundles (EuroFront, Civil War, Classic, and Victory) and the Wizard Kings Bundle. Note that the Civil War bundle now includes Gettysburg: Badges of Courage.
Bundles have a built-in discount of 10% and always ship free!
OLD BLOCKS FOR SALE
Since we changed wooden block suppliers in 2000, we still have some "old" blocks. These are the same size as the current 20mm blocks but have slightly squarer corners and are therefore distinguishable from the current blocks when placed alongside them.
They are still very usable for making your own games, scenarios or expansions.
And we're selling them off at half-price - $0.10 USD each. "Old" blocks are available in red only.
Order here.
