Ah, that would be the Austrians.

Theory had it they could get to hand to hand combat by running under the trajectory of the shots, unfortunately the Prussian Needle gun had a flat trajectory and so they mowed them down in the tens of thousands.

I'm very pleased to announce we are at last adding new figures to the 1866 range we purchased from Helion. It's taken a while, but the first packs are ready to buy now.

NSPA127

The first packs are Austrian infantry. The packs for the Austrian army we have available up to now are figures representing the Hungarian regiments. These new figures depict the Austrian regiments of the army of 1866.

NSPA128

We have three infantry packs to start with. We have a command pack, a marching pack, and a pack of infantry with the muskets at trail (the pose the Austrians adopted when they were moving into attack).

NSPA129

North Star 1866 figures come in four-figure packs, costing £5.40 GBP.

North Star figures are 28mm-sized, made of metal, and supplied unpainted.

Our 1866 range can be bought at U.K. shows from Caliver Books.
