I like this magazine, it IS getting better all the time. I almost canceled it but Dennis at On Military Matters talked me in to sticking with it a while longer. I'm glad I did, keep up the good work guys.

Dadi & Piombo #31 (Autumn issue) is out with a new feature: a 2D wargame on the Battle of Cerami.

D&P 31

The battle, a sort of Hastings of the south, was fought in Sicily in 1063 between the Normans and the Arabs.

In this issue, you will find the historical background and the possibility to play the battle after the reading. In the magazine, you will find a map and the 2 armies to cut out.

The game uses the Basic Impetus rules that can be downloaded from Dadi & Piombo website (but you can play with your favorite ruleset).

The game

In Dadi & Piombo #31, you will also find:

  • High Noon, Wild West skirmish rules
  • Waterloo in 6mm for Grande Armèe
  • The War of Gradisca 1615-1617
  • Phalanx 2007 photo report
  • Special on the Punic Wars: part II, The Second Punic War
  • Boardgame review: Gergovia (GMT)
  • News from the market, international calendar and much more...

You can get this copy (€8.00 EUR for Europe; €9.00 EUR Rest of the World) with PayPal here.

D&P is also available in the U.S. through On Military Matters, and in the U.K. through Caliver Books.
