There are some very good books on offer, "Bagration" by Ian Baxter is packed with photos (nearly 300); "A Long Long War" is very detailed, full of real eye witness accounts.

SCENARIO CONTEST

The Journal

I have been sent some books for review by the kind people at Casemate Publishing.

I am now offering them to you as prizes in a scenario-writing contest for The Journal.

Rules

  1. Competition only open to members of the SOTCW.
  2. The scenario must be new, not previously submitted or re-written.
  3. Scenario must be set between 1900 and present (i.e., suitable for publishing within The Journal).
  4. Scenario must be at least two A4 double-column pages in length, and must include maps and TO&Es so it can be picked up and played as-is.
  5. Any scale, land, sea or air; any rules.

Prizes will be presented at random. The editor asks that a review of the book be written and submitted to The Journal for Casemate.

Editor's decision is final. Competition closes August 30th 2008.
