These types of contraptions were used in Mexico and along the US border during the Punitive Expedition. The US Army was experimenting with differnt transport ideas and supplemented the typical mule and wagon transport. I have photos of these trains wrecked on the tortous trails of Mexico.

I can augment my Old Glory Pershing in Mexico range miniatures and use this as an objective for Pancho Villa or Northern Mexico bandits, or even Federales blocking a supply line through a local village.
