Rounding up our pictorial reviews of new products for Historicon 2011, we bring you two historical releases, just to prove we haven't gone completely crazy.
The first of these are the results of a 100 Club request, 28mm AWI Continental Dragoons. Available in both official uniform and ragged versions, these figures also come with a choice of headwear. This allows our customers to make all four dragoon regiments in their prescribed helmets, as well as their probable appearance on campaign.
Last, but by no means least, we have added 28mm Horse Artillery to the Wars of the French Revolution range.
This was the glamor arm of the French Army, and it saw a rapid expansion in numbers during the Revolutionary period.
As with so many of the French uniforms at this time, there are many variations on a theme. Our figures come in the two most common: hussar jacket and chasseur jacket. As with the Continental dragoons, a wide variety of headgear was worn, and we offer a choice of three (mirliton, dragoon helmet and casque) for each figure.
Our release includes artillery crew working their guns, limbers and caissons with walking and cantering teams (both four- and six-horse versions), as well as mounted crew, and a wurtz wagon with riders and two figures running, who missed the ride!

Golconda Miniatures' 28mm Bengali and Mysorean Sepoys with Command will be available from our stall on the day. We ran out of time to get their pictures taken before leaving for America, but we will post some images when we get back.
