Very nice looking figs. Can these be used for Saxons, circa. 500AD? Did "Germans" evolve into "Saxons?"

From left to right, the second and fourth figure are pretty generic and probably could pass for a good many so called "Germanic" tribesmen. The bare chested guys are not what I'd call "Saxons".

An email went out to all those who pre-ordered through the Liberty and Union League - but we wanted everyone to know that these are almost ready for release, just in time for the 2000th anniversary of the Battle of the Teutoberg Forest (where these guys wiped out three full Roman legions!).

German Battle Line

The Ancient German Warband is available for pre-order now, and we'll be shipping in about two weeks (waiting on package printing). This will be a 30-figure set ($19.95 USD) with loads of options - two unique sprues (one has five bodies and arms, other has all the weapons/heads/shields and an extra body - you get five of each sprue).

Ancient German Cavalry will follow quickly.

And then on to the Vikings!
