David Glenn of the Tampa Bay Gaming Association writes:

Day At the Museum: When Miniatures Attack!

Day at the Museum

When: Saturday, June 27, 2009. Games are from 9:00AM-6:00PM.

(Doors open an hour early and close an hour later for Game Masters.)

Where: The Armed Forces Museum, 2050 34th Way North, Largo, Florida, 33771

Cost: $8.00 USD, includes admission to the museum. Everyone is welcome to play games!

What: Games may include AWI, Seminole Indian Wars, ACW, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Modern Conflict miniatures, and more. (Games are subject to change.)

This is a twist on the normal historical miniatures event. Not many events allow you the opportunity to play games alongside such items as a full-scale M4 Sherman Tank, M3 Halftrack, M3 Scout Car, M8 Greyhound, DUKW, M3 Grant, and a host of other military vehicles, weapons, and armor. Take a stroll through a WWI Allied trench in Europe, across the flight deck of the Japanese Carrier Akagi, into the islands of the sSuth Pacific, along the Normandy beachhead, down a French street and past the church at Ste. Mere Eglise and a German Command Post, then look into a Korean War M.A.S.H. And, that's just a part of the museum.
