Mark of Crusader Publishing writes:

Hi there!

I'm pleased to be able to announce that 2009 will see the re-launch of Crusader Publishing. I managed to get sidetracked into completely writing all of The Uncharted Seas rules for Spartan Games in 2008, but am now concentrating on supporting my own rules and expanding the periods available. The first release is the printed copy of The Macedonian and Punic Wars supplement for the Crusader Ancient and Medieval rules.

The supplement is a full-colour, 52-page, perfectbound A4 book in the same style as the original rules. There are sections that cover the history, armies, troops and campaigns, as well as army lists for the main protagonists plus mercenaries and allies. You can see some sample pages on the Crusader publishing website, and the campaign map is also available as a free download.

This supplement had previously only been available as a PDF download - and for those that did buy it as a PDF before today, I'm happy to offer a full refund on the cost of the PDF if you decide to 'upgrade' to the hardcopy. Simply order the book from the Crusader Publishing shopping cart as normal, let me know the order details for the previous PDF purchase at the same time, and I'll refund that amount to you in full.

The next release for the Crusader rules will be a generic army list book which is being worked on now, and hopefully some more period-specific campaign supplements - if I can convince some folks to write them for me…

Future releases include Rank and File, a set of horse-and-musket rules that cover the period from 1740 through to 1900. Various period-specific rules tied into a flexible 'fast play' system make this an easy-to-learn game that can be adapted to a wide range of periods and theatres of war.

Crusader Publishing is also the outlet for The Shattered Isles fantasy range and will - in the next couple of months - have It Came From Uranus, a Pulp SF range as well. More details will follow when there is more to show.

Retail enquiries should be made to North Star Military Miniatures in the U.K. We are also currently looking for a single, reliable U.S. distributor who we can direct U.S. retailers towards - if any are reading this and have an interest, then please get in touch.
