Tony Francis of Brigade Models writes:

The latest addition to our line-up of new releases for Salute this year is the return of Squadron Commander.

Squadron Commander: Reheat

Squadron Commander: Reheat is a set of rules for two or more players depicting fighter actions in deep space. Games can incorporate anywhere from two to as many as 20 or more fighters per side and still be playable in an evening. The rules are accompanied by eight 1:300th scale fightercraft for four of the nations in Wessex Games' Iron Cow universe, in which the rules are set.

We'll have two different starter packs available, each with 16 fighter models plus rules, bases and dice. The models will also be available singly or in blister packs of four.

Fightercraft

Keen Brigade Models watchers will be aware that Squadron Commander has been in development hell for a very, very long period of time (fossilized copies of the original version are starting to turn up on the Antiques Roadshow!). We felt it was finally time we had a big push and got it out into the big, bad world.

After much discussion, we've decided to go for a free PDF download, creating a living rulebook that we can continually update and add to. Starter packs will come with the latest edition of the rules on CD. Further models will be released over the course of the year and into 2012. For more details, see the Salute Releases page on our website.
