As the Second World War broke-out, the 30cwt truck was the standard British military truck. With a 1.5-tonne capacity, they were adapted and modified for use within a number of different roles – not only as carriers and tows, but a wide range of specialist modifications were produced in order to overcome all manner of battlefield conditions.
