Following the postponement of Salute, we've had to reorganize our release schedule to fit in the models that were planned for the show. Many of those are ready to go now, so the next few weeks will see us pushing out quite a lot of new releases. Today, we're starting with something from the early age of commercial air travel.

We had a request for some civilian airfield buildings in the Small Scale Scenery range, to go alongside the existing military ones. The oldest licensed civilian airfield in the U.K., dating from 1910, is Shoreham. It has a very distinctive 1930s art deco terminal building which has starred in a number of films (search for it and you'll find pictures of it dressed up in swastikas!).

The airfield was used by the RAF in WWII, and post-war has been expanded with a number of new hangars and light industrial units. Our set consists of the three original 1930s buildings, cast in resin.
