I have been very busy painting this past few months, and so there isn't much news of new stuff just yet. I haven't even had time to get the galleries area properly updated, so I have just uploaded some pictures from recent commissions to Photobucket (link is given on the website).
I'm working on a customer request for some flags for the Boyne, and they should be on sale within a week or two.
OK, that's the good news over – now for the not-so-good...
U.K. postal prices really shot up again this April, and we have been forced to review our prices. For U.K. customers, the news isn't as bad as it might be (average 2% rise), as I'm also changing to using all second-class Large Letter, rather than a mix. It does involve some extra work and some new packaging, but it should help to keep prices lower without scuppering my profit margin. U.K. prices will go up during the 2nd week in May.
For European customers, the news is far worse. Some prices have gone up by over 80%, and the weight bands have been screwed around yet again. Packs have been re-worked again to make best use of the new weight bands, but still the average price rise is 20%, with smaller packs being hit the hardest. If European customers want more than a pack or two, they are advised to use the Custom Base Service and order just what they need – it should come out cheaper that way. Europe and Rest of the World prices will go up on May 1st.
Now is a good time to get your order for bases in, to beat the price rises.
