Hi. If anything the second edition should be more playable, as it includes both optional elements from the original and those from the supplement, For A Few Miniatures More as standard parts of the rules. These extra bits include chariots, shields, barding, extended armor types, pikes and polearms, and engines. So instead of looking around for the special rules, you mostly just go down a list of modifiers for attacks and movement.

The Advanced Game will add an ability-trait system when it is eventually released, so units can be further customized with applicable modifiers and special rules actually being part of their descriptions. This will pave the way for a fantasy setting.

Pit army against army! You decide the outcome with A Fistfull of Miniatures.

A Fistfull of Miniatures 2E

Precis Intermedia brings this classic historical game of miniatures warfare back in an all-new basic edition. Available in both PDF and print, command 100 to 10,000 figures with its unique, fast-playing mechanics. The simple design means that once your armies are detailed, no further paperwork is required. Collect all your 15mm miniatures (or 25-30mm with some tweaking) for battle - and if you don't have miniatures, templates are provided for making them out of paper. Best of all, it's affordably priced - as low as $4.95 USD.
