Flashpoint Miniatures Releases the Marine Corps
The Leathernecks Have Come Ashore!
Cocked, locked and ready to rock, the United States Marine Corps are the latest addition to infantry combat forces in Flashpoint Vietnam. Sculpted by Anton Ducrot in 15mm, the blister components follow TOE's as described in the Flashpoint Vietnam rulebook.
The oldest and most revered fighting force in the United States arsenal, the fighting men of the Marine Corps waged a fierce and determined war against the communist forces in Vietnam. Drawing upon an age of experience, training and perfection, they stood their ground across all theatres from the stinking streets of the cities to the sweltering jungles of the countryside. The United States Marine Corps were not always as privy to the new toys that entered the arsenals of the United States Army and Navy, and it is from this that the men of the Corps developed an innovative approach to war. Equipped with a selection of M16 assault rifles, M14 rifles, grenades, bandoliers and assorted small arms, the U.S.MC proved an efficient and destructive asset in the free world's arsenal. Considered by many to be an elite force in its own, the men that formed the Marine rifle companies spearheaded the assault into communist-influenced territory.
The U.S. marines are just the latest to come out of the Flashpoint studio. Next month, you will see the new Local Force Viet Cong guerrillas, arriving to bolster last month's Main Force Viet Cong (cadre) release.
