If I remember correctly, GW tried to shutdown Chapter House a few years ago, but nothing ever happened. I think Chapter House called their bluff and GW dropped the matter.

Nick of Chapterhouse Studios writes:

First runs of the Chapterhouse Studios Tyranid Tervigon conversion kit arrived this week! Available for $22.50 USD each.

Tyranid Tervigon Conversion Kit

This resin set contains five high detail modular components that fit with the current Games Workshop Carnifex kit. Once assembled, it can be used as a Tyranid Tervigon. Please note this set does not include a Games Workshop Tyranid Carnifex.

Each kit contains five pieces:

  1. Top center torso spine piece (fits in between the two side torsos of the Carnifex)
  2. Central armor and spine bank (fits on top of the upper torso)
  3. Head mount piece
  4. Lower abdomen containing birth sacs and embryonic Termagaunts
  5. Standard-size oval base (matches Trygon base diameter)

Please note while this kit is sculpted to fit a Carnifex kit with no modification to either kit, some modification may be necessary to the minute variations that are present in both GW and Chapterhouse kits.

Tyranid Spore Pod

Also being worked on is a rather ambitious Tyranid Spore Pod. I will admit to being a little afraid of what this beast of a model will cost to produce. It is undergoing some modifications (with a very handy Dremel tool) to lose as much unnecessary material as possible.
