Malcolm Lane of Chelgames tells TMP that his recent posts - which culminated by charging that rival Artemis Black's wasn't even capable of "distributing leaflets" - were not an attack.

Chelgames says posts about Artemis Black weren't attacks

"Yourself and many others seem to think that my posting was an attack on a rival trader," writes Malcolm, "but this couldn't be further from the truth. I am simply asking the question, is Artemis Black a distributor or not."

Mr. Lane asserts that Artemis Black's is obtaining products at a distributor discount (60%), then selling as a retailer and undercutting the competition. However, he doesn't offer an explanation for why he posted without revealing his identity, why he didn't mention this concern in his original posts, or why he made other negative comments about the rival company.

"I like the advert for Chelgames on your site," concludes Malcolm, referring to yesterday's news story. "Very neat, it has brought a lot of enquiries from new customers in the last day or so."
