"Absolutley fun, Jim! Gotta paint Marike now. Hmmm, sure hope the fans don't start following her round with paintbrushes…"

They already do… her Con painting classes are always weel subscribed!!

Indeed, the likeness is well-done… a more fitting candidate for such treatment is hard to find.

Well, seeing as we just lost out to a 2-D laser-etched piece of plywood for Best Miniature/Miniature Line of the Year, I thought we better get that awful taste out of our mouth and give everyone a look at some real miniature sculpting with our 6th Anniversary Miniature.

Tom Meier has sculpted up two versions of the multi-award-winning miniature painter Marike Reimer (who also happens to paint for Dark Sword). We did a 54mm version and a standard 28mm version. The 54mm version (or Mega Marike the Destroyer, as we call her) can be used as a good-looking giantess to stomp on your enemies.

Marike loves bugs, reptiles, frogs, toads - you know, the usual assortment of cute critters. So we did her in two phases on her way to becoming Marike - Mistress of the Bugs.
