Thanks, S.P.

It might be a while before Trafalgar is possible (although I have done a prototype 64-gun ship-of-the-line in 1:600 with which I am very pleased). For now, I'm sticking with the small ships on inland waters theme; next up, Lake Erie 1813.

Jeff Knudsen of War Artisan's Workshop writes:

A new model has been added to War Artisan's catalogue of 1:300 scale paper models.

Liberty

This 50-ton schooner kit is of a type of cargo carrier common on all the inland waters of North America in the late 18th/early 19th century. It can be built in either of two versions: one unarmed, and the other pierced for up to eight guns.

This model will be a good choice to represent the schooner confiscated by the Rebels at Skenesborough in 1775 and renamed Liberty.
