Alternative Armies has restored a very large number of the classic Asgard Miniatures and Tabletop Games ranges of the 1980s. These include 15mm ranges of Renaissance, of Napoleonics, of Dark Ages, and more. In 28mm, the Orcs of Jes Goodwin and the Space Marines of Nick Bibby, but to name a few of several hundred poses. All are on our website, on the left menu under 'Asgard Miniatures' by their ranges.
During the Spring Mega Event 2026 (ends 6th May 9AM GMT), we have one monster returned to the world in the Asgard Fantasy Monsters (FM) range. It is by a sculptor who did not do a lot for Asgard, but left his mark with metal legacy. We are proud to present from the 1980s – with a little remastering and a new trident – the FM97 Sea Dragon!
FM97 – Sea Dragon
This restored classic model of the 1980s contains nine metal-and-resin parts which, once assembled, stands 70mm tall, 60mm wide, and 60mm deep. Sculpted by Stan Pochron.
The FM34 Death Demon is perhaps the most fondly remembered sculpt by Stan Pochron which we have restored. Studio Maxi painted our example for the website, along with all of the thus-far-restored Dungeon Adventurers (DA) range.
A real heavyweight, the FM23 Giant Slug by Stan Pochron is in metal, but also at a greatly reduced price in resin as FM23R Giant Slug. Great for your dungeons and to face heroes or, in this case, one of Jes Goodwin's Barbarians.
This is our sole classic miniature release news of the Spring Mega Event 2026.
