Brigade Models: "Advanced Additions"

Back to Hobby News

The H Man writes:

Hmm…

Just saw the pic on the side and immediately thought: a stack of Tupperware.

Stick on some puffy stickers or googly eyes for windows and paint.

Kmart has loads of cheap stackable containers. Or just reuse whatever regular food containers you buy. Such as Chinese or dip and yoghurt pots.

You could go crazy high.

Make them separately, then stick some to bases with small square entrances, like tiktak containers, match boxes or such. And some others with top gubbins like bottle caps and glue, drink, sauce, bottle tops, for roofs.

Then just stack as you feel on the day. Lots of low buildings, several high-rises, or a mix of both!

Brigade Models announces:

We haven't added to our range of 6mm Advanced Buildings for a (long) while; despite this, they seem still to be pretty popular. Today that changes, as we have five new additions to the range.

The first building is a simple two-story affair with attached garage/workshop – in terms of layout, it's almost like a modern domestic house.

Next, we have a medical center. This will also become part of the Surgeon General range, which we use to collect money for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity. Half of the sale price of each model (once we've deducted VAT) will go to Macmillan – we've donated £350.00 GBP so far, and we're still going (that goes for the ambulance alongside – it's also part of the Surgeon General range).

Medical center

The rest of the release is made up of a series of small four-story town apartment blocks, all similar in design but each slightly different. The ground floor of each one is made up of a small shop, with three apartment floors above.
