Midlam is on the surface a bustling vibrant city, beset by few problems. However, threats to the city come from both without and within. Inside the city, the teaming criminal underworld, the many nefarious cults and the everyday seemingly random violence threatens the city, while outside lurk unknown enemies who wish to infiltrate and destroy Midlam.
The first line of defense in all these cases is the City Guard, a paid body of men and women, who have all passed the rigorous test of being at least six foot tall.

Our stretch-goal is the formidable Captain Grimjaw. He is not putting up with any trouble in his quarter, which he takes as a personal insult to his professional standing and he will stamp down hard! To his guards, he is tough but fair, with an extra helping of tough!
