Total System Scenic: Changing Hands Update

Back to Hobby News

I lived in Scotland for many years, up until 2000, and I bought some TSS products in the late 90's and they were the best terrain I've ever had!! I've moved back to the US now and the intercontinental house move was dreadfully hard on my poor terrain. I'd kill to find a US stockist of TSS products!!

As you may (or may not) be aware, Total System Scenic (TSS) has recently changed hands*.

TSS estuary and coastline

There has been the perhaps inevitable glitch while all the stock, equipment and materials has been transferred to the new location, but we have bought some new cutting equipment to speed things up and we are pretty much there. grin

So, what is TSS?

TSS is perhaps best known for a range of modular scenic tiles, made from a high density polystyrene coated in a realistic static flock. The tiles are available in a range of convenient sizes giving you maximum flexibility for your wargames table. The modular system includes plain tiles, roads, rivers, beaches, trenches and hills enabling you to recreate the battlefield of your choice. We are looking to carry on this great tradition, but introduce yet new items for an even better solution. All new items will be produced to the same quality and designed to match our existing ranges, so you can be assured of continuity in both style and quality with items you may already own.

As well as 'square' tiles, TSS also offers an extensive range of 30cm diameter hexagonal tiles, again with plain, road, coast and river options, including ends and corners.

Of course, if you have something special you need, we can even make up tiles to your specific needs, from Thermopylae to Titan III and most places in between. Contact us via the website - totalsystemscenic.com - for more details.

Putting the 'T' into TSS

TSS doesn't just do tiles, our complete range holds a whole lot more - there is a reason why it is called Total System Scenics!

We also produce a whole range of resin accessories to enhance your scenery. We can offer you a range of modular resin buildings, bases, movements trays, as well as items such as rocks, defensive positions, floor tiles and even a resin LCM - whether you need tents or pillboxes, open fields or starship walls, the resin listings are well worth exploring!

On top of that, TSS also produces an extensive range of rubber items, such as tracks, roads and rivers. These pre-coloured soft latex items will naturally form themselves to the contours of your scenery and give you complete flexibility when it comes to your scenic needs.

Finally, we can also offer you additional scenic materials to really enhance your tabletop, including trees, hedges and handy bags of the same sand/grit and flock that we use in our tiles, enabling you to match your basing to our surfaces for that really 'blended' look.

Models?

TSS doesn't really produce models, but we do recommend our partner, QRF Models. QRF produces 15mm wargames figures covering Ancients right through to sci-fi, and including an extensive and comprehensive range of WWII, postwar and modern vehicles, infantry and supporting weapons. Because TSS is working in partnership with QRF, and operating in close proximity, you can be assured of the same high quality service.

Website

Our website is currently located at totalsystemscenic.com. However, we are working behind the scenes to bring you a new website, a little bit easier to navigate around, yet still with the same great features. So watch this space for a whole new launch later this year!

* TSS is a trading name of QRF Dorset Limited.
