Stephen1066 you are right. The shoulder arms position is with the left arm not the right. The soldier at the shoulder arms position is wrong.
How do I know? Because I'm a reenactor who portrays a US soldier of the war of 1812.

Check out the brand-new War of 1812 releases from All the King's Men Toy Soldiers. They include Canadian Voltigeurs who fought at Chateauguay, among other battles. Maryland militia who defended Baltimore at North Point. And militiamen in top hats who can be used for either side of the conflict. You can see more details at the ATKM website here.

Maryland Militia

These are 54mm metal figures intended for wargamers or collectors. Heads are separate to create variable poses. Infantry come twelve + two command for $35 USD. Skirmishers come six + two for $25 USD.

ATKM offers its own set of simple, fast wargame rules, available as a free PDF download here.

Top Hat Militia

These figures are available now. We will also have them on hand at Fall In in November.
