PT Dockyard Expands Russian Civil War Line

I bought the rules and joined the Yahoo group for two main reasons.

1. I enjoy 1:600 naval gaming for ACW ironclads and thought it would be fun to do more in that scale.

2. I enjoy RCW gaming, largely with Red Actions from the Perfect Captain.

Finding any information about the RCW in English is tricky, and as I don't read Russian I can't comment on the accuracy of what I do find.

Still for a game of toy soldiers I can piece together enough.

The rule book does include several scenarios. I need to order some ships and give a proper play now.

The PT Dockyard is releasing a further expansion to its 1:600 Russian Civil War riverine line with fourteen new models.

Bolshevik 'Volga Volunteer' Gunboat

This group includes some important vessels, such as a WWI version of the Royal Navy "Insect" class (used on the Dvina River and also on the Tigris), new paddle steamer gunboats, and Bolshevik Volga gunboats, along with two of the smallest types, the Type N and Type 1916.

This group offers more coverage of vessels for PT Dockyard's White Water, Red Tide RCW riverine rules.

Royal Navy Insect Class River Gunboat

Further releases are planned for July. New material and plans keep coming in, so there will be more miniatures (ships, barges, armored trains) for the RCW and eventually other riverine conflicts 1914-1920.
