A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I love the Corps!

Just went with 20mm for my 1980s Marine project. I considered 15mm just coz it's cheaper and you can get more combined arms on the table but the difficulty of converting and adding to detail to 15mm guys put me off.

Also no Phrogs for the Team Yankee USMC? Marine heliborne troops rode in on CH-46s since Vietnam.

Stripes: U.S. Forces in World War III

Mitchell has written a great article on our website about the U.S. Marines and how you can represent them in Team Yankee with our new book: Stripes.

Founded in 1775, the United States Marine Corps has always been the tip of the spear for American forces. In the 20th Century, they would distinguish themselves as some of the toughest warriors in the world. From the Battle of Belleau Wood to the shores of Okinawa, American Marines have always defended freedom and liberty. In the last 70 years, they have won two world wars, and there will be no exception here! Whether they come from the sky in their rugged Huey transport helicopters or come from the sea in their massive AAVP7s, the U.S. Marines will give the commies one hell of a fight.

The U.S. Marine Corps

In Team Yankee, the U.S. 2nd Marine Division is engaged with Soviet and East German forces in Northern Germany, supporting the U.S. III Corps. The Marines landed in Denmark, and rapidly advanced into Germany, assisting in the American counterattack. They are a lighter force than their army counterparts, and offer a more mobile force for engaging Soviet forces on the flanks.
