Mithril Miniatures of Prince August Toy Factory writes:

Mithril has been officially licensed to manufacture metal collectible miniatures based on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit books by J.R.R. Tolkien for over 20 years.

Mithril New Year Sale 2011. 20% off Fellowship miniatures

This January, for one week only, Mithril has dropped by 20% the prices of many of our Gold Status Fellowship miniatures, and also cut the joining fee to only €9.99 EUR (was €20.90 EUR) to join the Fellowship Club.

Membership gives a collector five Tengwar magazines and a free miniature, Aragorn and the Palantir. Members every month can submit new ideas for production based on the license we hold. They vote on the resulting list of ideas, and the winning idea is produced in a limited quantity.

Here are just five examples of the ideas that have made it to production in 2010:

Eowyn in the Golden Hall
Narvi of Moria - Dwarf Stonemason
Sindarin Bard (Elf)
Hurin the Tall - Warden of the Keys of Minas Tirith
Dunlending Musician

The GSF club has been running for six years, so there are plenty more ingenious ideas made into metal to select from.

Sale ends on January 21st, 2011 (12 noon GMT).

If you are looking for a New Year Resolution that is worth keeping, then make 2011 Mithril Miniatures the choice to collect.
