There must be a game in this?

It reminds me from the scene in the Untouchables where they were intercepting a convoy of trucks coming in from Canada, in conjuction with the Mounties.

Just think, in 50 years time, our grandchildren could be playing out the smuggling of wargames figures across the US/Canada border saying "I remember my grandfather telling me this story from the olden days".

Bob Murch of Pulp Figures was scheduled to attend NHMGS' Enfilade convention this weekend, where he had planned to introduce a new line of figures, but was denied entry to the United States at the Sumas border point.

The problem was apparently the merchandise which Bob was bringing to sell at the convention. He believed at the amount of goods was allowed under the NAFTA agreement, and he had prepared his paperwork in accordance with U.S. Customs instructions (as he has done in years past).

According to a report on the Northwest Historical Miniature Gaming Society mailing list:

His stated purpose for entry was deemed insufficient. He was lectured by the agent for attempting "..to steal U.S. jobs." Then, to further add to the frustration he spent an hour being finger printed and photographed while a lengthy report was filled out. This was then attached to his passport branding him forever as someone who tried to gain entry to the U.S. for illegal purposes.
