"Any thoughts of expanding the line backwards in time? My interests are more in the Persian War, Alexandrian, and Hellenistic eras. These could be used for those, of course, but it would be nice to see some of the earlier designs."

Originally no, but after researching Roman naval combat, I discovered that ancient Greek naval warfare, especially soon after the death of Alexander the Great, was very impressive with regards to equipment, ship sizes and the number of vessels involved in the battles. Had I known that three years ago, I would have made it a Greek Naval series instead.

Any good sources for plans of Greek naval ships?

1/300th Scale, PDF, Historically Accurate, Quick-and-Easy-to-Make, Inexpensive Roman Ship and Building Models

Roman Seas PDF Ship and Building Models

Roman Seas PDF models are designed for the gamer who always wanted to play ancient Roman naval games, but either did not want to game with microscopic models, or wanted to play using 1/300th scale ships but could not afford nor had the time to assemble and paint the models. With Roman Seas ships can be printed out, cutout and assembled in under one hour - no painting is required. Historically accurate, quick, easy and cheap to make, plus... we offer a large line of ships. Now everyone can play with impressive models, not just those with a lot of money and time.

Roman Seas PDF cardstock ship models yield a model that is stronger and more durable than pewter. Just drop a pewter model off your game table, and then try dropping a Roman Seas ship and see which one survives to be pick up and used in your game. Roman Seas cardstock models will win every time.

Roman Seas is a whole lot more than just awesome-looking ancient Roman ships - you can also build your own Roman City. Integrate a Roman port into your naval games with historically accurate Roman-style building models.

Rome wasn't built in a day, but now you can build it in three or four days, tops!

A number of Roman Seas models can be rescaled to larger scales such as 10mm and 15mm. Even in 15mm scale, these models are tough, durable, lightweight, and cost under $2 USD in materials to make! Now you can play in 15mm scale with Biremes vs Saxon Raiders, or Romans vs Carthaginians, Romans vs Romans, Romans vs Pirates, and a whole lot of possibilities!

Roman Seas will be available very soon, and then more model sets will be added to the Roman Seas collection! We have many more models in the works, so keep visiting our website!

Roman Seas has been in the works for three years, but due to the death of my father in 2004, the project slowed down, and then it slowed down again with the death of another family member in June 2005. This has been a long road to get here.
