![Oldenburg Battalion Oldenburg Battalion](news/pics/2014/oct/326790130a.jpg)
We've just added the Duchy Oldenburg contingent to the Confederation of the Rhine range. This tiny principality supplied one battalion of around 800 men. The uniform is a nice mix of Prussian, Austrian and French, but unfortunately the battalion never saw action in this uniform… although I had to make them as they are so unique.
In 1811, they were assimilated into the French 129th Line, receiving completely French uniforms.
For more information on this unit, see Peter Bunde's uniform plate at brigade-uniform-plates.de, plate no. 39.
