Charles S. Roberts - the father of board wargaming, and founder of the Avalon Hill Game Company - has passed away at the age of 80.

Although he was not to my knowledge involved with miniature wargaming, many miniature wargamers first became interested in historical wargaming through exposure to Avalon Hill boardgames.
