Littlearmies writes:

Those are jolly nice. I've been tempted by the AWI for some time – Giles's AWI blog being the chief culprit. I had thought to do it in 28mm as I have some Front Rank Prussians that could be pressed into service. The only thing stopping me has been that I game the ACW in 15mm with 10mm buildings.

I was therefore thinking of 15mm – but cannot think of a 15mm AWI line that grabs me (Polly Oliver no longer being available). These are offering severe temptation!

When will Continental Command and Militia be available?

clibinarium reports:

Here's a sneak peek at the new range of 10mm AWI figures coming from Pendraken in the new year.

This range has been cooking for some time, and is a personal project of mine. It will be a full range, covering all troops that participated in battle during the revolution. The Perry Brothers have set the gold standard for AWI figures, and while I can't match their output, they give me a standard to chase! I hope this range will be of similar breadth.

The initial release will cover mainly British troops, for the early years of the war, i.e. the 1768 warrant. Later uniforms will be covered in full, such as those for Saratoga, and the Southern campaigns.

Only one pack of Americans is done for the first release, but lots of militia and early Continentals are on the workbench right now.

British Line Standing with command

These guys are British Line Standing, with command. The flags are from Brian at Vaubanner Graphics. They are the 15mm versions that Brian will happily shrink down to 10mm for you.

Close up

The first figures will be available in the new year, I'll be putting up pics on my Yahoo! Group as I get them painted.
